This event, held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), is the biggest of its kind in Africa and gathers together senior decision-makers from the entire digital ecosystem. Most of the big network operators and telecoms companies are represented, including many from the Middle East, but this fast-growing region has also attracted the attention of companies like Google and Mozilla who will be there.
With the booming telecoms industry in Africa it's little wonder that Stream is getting more and more enquiries from the region, not only for M2M connectivity but also for our connectivity platform. As network operators and other M2M users see their databases grow, so does the need to manage thousands (or even millions) of connections on one platform.
With so many telecoms, logistics and mining companies in Africa bursting at their seams after a decade of strong growth, connectivity management is becoming a hot topic. For that reason Kevin and Martin, who will represent Stream at the event, are expecting a very busy week!
Anyone who wants to meet up with Stream at AfricaCom, either to discuss business or just to catch up, please get in touch. It will be great to meet old friends again and make new ones. Martin stays behind for a week in Johannesburg and will be available for meetings during that time but please book well in advance as time slots are filling up rapidly.
